The canvas has not been lined.
The painted surface has some minor surface dirt.
The paint layer appears to be secure and stable.
Examination under UV light shows that the canvas has been cleaned in the past with a few retouches to the outer edges covering damage due to frame abrasions, and a very minute spot of isolated retouching in the sky.
Overall the painting presents well in a period style frame.
