The paint layer appears to be secure and stable
The painted surface has been cleaned in the past
Examination under UV light shows some pigments fluoresce. Most are original and there are very very few spots of cosmetic inpainting, mostly to the edges to frame abrasions.
Overall the painting presents well in a gilt composite period style pierced frame.
