This intriguing watercolour depicts the interior of an artist's studio. Props and costumes hang on the walls, an easel stands empty in the foreground, and an empty frame is propped to the side. The yellow brick and sash windows suggest that this is a London scene.

The sheet is not laid down but is taped into a non-acidic mount. There is some slight abrasion to the extreme edges (largely overmounted). There are two small repaired foxmarks to the lower edge but the sheet is in generally very good condition, the colours are strong and it reads well.
