The panel is straight and solid.
The painted surface appears to have been cleaned in the past.
The paint layer appears to be in secure and stable condition.
Examination under UV light shows very few scattered spots of inpaint along the outer edges, some to the nose and hand of the figure on the right and few other minor cosmetic retouches visible.
Overall the painting presents well in a period style frame with a green velvet slip.
