The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The panel shows slight undulation in the lower right quadrant.
The paint layer appears to be secure and stable condition and shows discoloured old retouches in the sky and a surface scratch on the coat of the dog in the lower left quadrant.
Examination under UV light shows the aforementioned discoloured retouches, remnants of old discoloured varnish and few other inpaints predominantly in the sky.
The painting is presented in a period style frame.
