oil on panel. The panel appears to be straigh and solid. The paint layer appears to be secure and stable. The paitned surface has some minor surface dirt and varnish discolouration. There are some nice spots of impasto in the flowers. There are minor frame abrasions. Examination under UV light shows light retoucing, predominantly to a thin vertical line of to frame abrasions on the left hand edge and a possible spot of retoucing to the top of the haystack. Overall the painting presents well in a gilt composite period style frame.
