The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas has not been lined.
The paint layer appears to be secure and stable. The panted surface appears to have been cleaned in the past. There are some nice impastos intact.
Examination under UV light shows some of the original pigment fluoresces and there is some slight spooling to the varnish layer. There is no retouching expected.
Overall the picture presents very well in a simple gilt frame.
