The canvas has been lined.
The painted surface is covered in light surface dirt.
The paint layer appears to be secure and stable showing a fine pattern of ageing craquelures throughout the sky. There are some discoloured retouches visible in the sky.
Examination under UV light shows the aforementioned retouches. Other scattered spots inpaint fluoresce under UV. Overall the painting is in well preserved condition and presents well in a period style frame.
Overall the painting presents well in a period style gilt frame and is ready to hang.
