The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas has been relined.
The paint layer appears to be secure and stable
The painted surface appears to have been cleaned in the past.
There is very sight craquelure visible in the raking light upon close inspection.
Examination under UV light shows very few minor spots of evidence of earlier inpainting. There is a small line of inpainting which follows the outline of the chin of the right hand figure.
There are small cosmetic retouches to the left sleeve and ribbon on the pink dress.
There are also some lines of inpaint addressing the frame scuffing to the lower left corner.
There are few small other spots of very minor scattered cosmetic retouching, predominantly to the tripod table in the lower left quadrant.
Overall the work presents very well in a gilt composite period style frame.
