The paint layer appears to be secure and stable.
The painted surface appears to have been cleaned in the past.
There are minor patterns of ageing craquelure visibe in the purple pigments.
Very minor frame abrasions visible at the extremeties on close inspection.
Examination under UV light shows some of the pigments flouresce, but these are thought to be original.
The painting presents very well in a gilt period style decorative frame.
