The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on panel
The panel has a vertical line relating to a split running through the front of the panel on the right hand side. At the time of writing this is not visible on the reverse of the panel.
There are frame abrasions and scuffs at the edges.
The paint surface has a layer of surface dirt and varnish discolouration.
The paint layer shows localised craquelure and bituminisation of paint predominantly in the darker areas.
Examination under UV light shows a few scattered spots of retouching.
The painting presents well in a decorative gilt composite period style frame.
