The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas.
The canvas has been lined.
The paint layer is secure and stable.
The painted surface has some minor flattening to the impastos visible, predominantly in the sky, due to lining.
Examination under UV light shows a few cosmetic retouches and scattered spots of in paint, predominantly in the sky and around the contours of the central figure. Cosmetic retouches to the clothing of the figures is visible.
Overall the painting presents well in a period style frame.
