There is a very fine pattern of vertical craquelulres are visible in the darker pigments central to the composition, visible on close inspection.
The painted surface is covered in light surface dirt.
The paint layer appears to be in excellent secure and stable condition.
Examination under UV light shows very few scattered spots of inpaint.
Overall the painting presents really well in an English period style gilt frame.
