The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is unlined and is on its original stretcher which is providing good support.
There are areas of drying craquelure, most visibly to and aboe the woman's hair. Some minor frame rubbing at the edge of the canvas but this is covered by the frame rebate.
Under UV light there is a layer of uneven varnish and the picture appears to have been cleaned in the past. There are no significant signs of damage or restoration and the picture appears to be in good, original condition.
