A Leopard with two passing deer

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas has been lined and is on a new stretcher which is providing good support. There is surface craquelure and some remnants of an old varnish at the edges.
Under UV light there is some infilling to craquelure in the sky and to areas of the foreground and in the foliage. Some of this is to areas of former paint shrinkage, mostly notably under the right deer's body, and to areas of the foliage in the upper right quadrant. There are some further spots of retouching, mostly in the upper right quadrant.
