A winter evening

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The painting is unlined. The varnish is slightly discoloured. To the naked eye there is no visible damage. On the reverse there is one 3 inch patch corresponding to the foliage of the tree to the left of the main tree. Under uv there is inpainting to the left side of the main tree and the foliage of the tree to the left to address the repair. The trunks of the group of trees to the right have been strengthened.

There are small touches of inpainting to the far left group of three. The majority of the painting is untouched including the flock of sheep.

Generally in good condition.
