The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

La figura barbuta:
Alcuni graffi superficiali e perdita di smalto nei punti in maggior rilievo. Restauro del naso. C'è un'ampia area di sovradipintura in corrispondenza della spalla sinistra e del petto, che presumibilmente erano stati sbeccati o avevano perso lo smalto. Ulteriore sovradipintura e perdita di smalto sul gomito sinistro. Scheggiature e sovradipinture sulle dita della mano destra. Due anelli di catena sono spezzati e mancanti tra le mani. Ulteriore sovradipintura e perdita di smalto sulla mano sinistra, che si estende in alcune zone del panneggio. C'è un'ampia area sovradipinta in corrispondenza del ginocchio sinistro, che presumibilmente nasconde scheggiature e perdite di smalto, e un'altra piccola area di sovradipintura sul ginocchio destro.
Altre macchie alla base. Catena rotta e mancante dalla caviglia destra al ceppo dell'albero, e un altro anello rotto e parzialmente mancante vicino alla caviglia sinistra. Sbeccature e perdite dei fiori e foglie applicati. Sbeccature sull'orlo del piede.
La figura calva:
Piccole aree di perdita di smalto nei punti in maggior rilievo, coerenti con l’epoca di realizzazione e con il tipo di materiale. Naso con perdita di smalto sulla punta e sovradipintura per nasconderla. Graffi e alcune piccole crepe sullo smalto, in particolare sulla testa e sulla spalla destra. Sul retro della spalla sinistra vi sono due zone di 2 cm che hanno perso lo smalto/sono scheggiate, e sono state ampiamente coperte. Sono presenti ulteriori sovradipinture sulla mano destra e sulla catena che tiene in mano, che sembra nascondere le aree che hanno perso lo smalto. Sotto le mani manca un tratto di catena di 2,5 cm. C'è un'ulteriore perdita di smalto di 1 cm sopra il gomito sinistro (sul davanti). Ulteriori zone di sovradipintura che nascondono la perdita di smalto sul drappeggio sopra la gamba destra, al ginocchio destro e alle dita del piede destro, oltre a un ramo tra le gambe. Sbeccature e perdita dei fiori e delle foglie applicati. Una sezione della base lunga 6 cm è stata staccata nella parte anteriore (sotto la gamba sinistra) e sostituita. Sbeccatura sull'orlo del piede.

The bearded figure:
Some surface scratching and glaze loss to high points of moulding. Restoration to his nose. There is a large area of overpainting to his left shoulder and chest, presumably concealing chipping and glaze loss. Further overpainting and glaze loss to his left elbow. Chipping and overpainting to his right fingers. Two links of chain broken and lacking between hands. Further overpaint to glaze loss on his left hand, extending to patches of drapery. There is a large area of overpaint to his left knee, presumably concealing chipping and glaze loss, and a further small area of overpaint to his right knee. Further patches to base. Chain broken and lacking from his right ankle to tree-stump, and a further link broken and partially lacking at his left ankle. Chipping and losses to applied flowers and leaves. Chipping to footrim.
The bald figure:
Small areas of glaze loss to high points of moudling, consistent with age and type of material. Nose with glaze loss to end and overpainting to conceal this. Scratching and some small spreading cracks to glaze, particularly to his head and back of right shoulder. Two 2 cm. patches of glaze loss / chipping to the back of his left shoulder, which has been extensively overpainted. There is further overpainting to his right hand and the chain he is holding, which also appears to be to conceal patches of glaze loss. There is a 2.5 cm. section of the chain missing beneath his hands. There is a further 1 cm. patch of glaze loss above his left elbow (to the front). Further overpaint concealing glaze loss patches to drapery on top of his right leg, to his right knee and right toes, as well as one branch between his legs. Chipping and losses to applied flowers and leaves. A 6 cm. long section of the base has been broken out to the front (beneath his left leg) and replaced. Chipping to footrim.
