The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Alcune craquelure lineari lungo la superficie (che appaiono stabili e coerenti con la tecnica dell'artista); alcune corrispondenti piccole cadute di colore, principalmente in corrispondenza dei capelli rossi, una nell'angolo inferiore sinistro e altre puntiformi sullo sfondo in alto.
Alcune tracce di sporco lungo la superficie.
Esaminata alla luce ultravioletta, sono visibili alcuni restauri sul naso della figura di sinistra, alla sinistra dei suoi capelli e al centro dello sfondo; altri piccoli restauri al centro del margine destro e lungo quello inferiore.
Tenuto conto di quanto sopra, è nostra opinione che l’opera sia in condizioni di conservazione buone.

Fine lines of cracks throughout (which appear to be stable and are consistent with the artist's technique). A few, tiny, associated paint losses, mainly in the red hair, one at the lower left corner and few pinpoints ones in the upper background.
Mild surface dirt.
When examined under ultraviolet light, there is evidence of some spots of inpainting on the leftmost figure's nose, to the left of her hair, and in the central background. A few further smaller spots of retouching towards the centre right edge, and along the lower edge.
Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
