Complessivamente in buono stato con inevitabili screpolature sullo smalto e piccole zone di perdita di smalto risalenti al momento della realizzazione. C'è una crepa che corre concentricamente attorno alla parte inferiore, appena sopra l'orlo del piede, il che fa pensare che il piede sia diventato instabile e si sia deciso di fissarlo nuovamente con una colla resinosa, di cui sono visibili le tracce. Piccole perdite sono ravvisabili lungo questa fessura. C'è una crepa di 3 cm a forma di mezzaluna sull'orlo del piede, a destra del ritratto del bambino più piccolo. Sotto questa immagine si trova una piccola sbeccatura di 1 cm che sembra essere stata riempita di una sostanza simile alla resina, e una sezione dell’orlo del piede di 8 cm ricoperta da una lacca trasparente perché probabilmente rotta e riattaccata. Altre contenute zone di perdita dello smalto sulla spalla del vaso, sotto il ritratto del bambino più grande. Sono presenti altre piccole sbeccature sulla superficie dell’interno e ulteriori screpolature e crepe. Fratture sul bordo e sull'orlo del piede.

Overall in good decorative order with inevitable crazing to glaze and small patches of glaze loss from time of manufacture. There is a crack running concentrically around the lower part, just above the footrim, which suggests the foot has possibly become insecure and re-secured with a resin-like glue, traces of which are visible. Small associated losses all along this crack. There is a 3 cm. crescent shaped infilled chip to the footrim, to the right hand side of the portrait of the younger child. Directly below this portrait is a small 1 cm. area of chipping which appears to have been infilled with a resin—like substance, and an 8 cm. long section of footrim which is covered in a clear lacquer, probably broken and restuck. Further small patches of glaze loss to the vase shoulder, beneath the portrait of the older child. There are a few further small chips to the surface of the interior, and further crazing and cracks. Fritting to rim and footrim.
