The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Gouache, pen and India ink and pastel on thick wove paper. The reverse of the sheet is hinged to the mount at the four reverse corners. Some minor glue remnants form the artist’s original drawing pad mainly at the extreme right edge. The sheet undulates slightly. Some barely visible creases mainly towards the four corners. The pigments are very strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Gouache, plume et encre de Chine et pastel sur papier vélin épais. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu pas des charnières au montage aux quatre coins. Quelques mineurs résidus de colle du bloc à dessin de l’artiste, principalement à l’extrémité du bord droit. La feuille ondule légèrement. Quelques froissures à peine visibles vers les quatre coins. Les pigments sont très vifs et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparait en très bonne condition générale.
