The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Gouache, India ink, wash and India ink, pastel and pencil on wove paper. The reverse of the sheet is hinged to the mount in two places along the upper reverse edge. The four edges are deckled. Some pale discolouration of the sheet in places towards the edges. The sheet undulates slightly towards the edges inherent to the artist’s water-based technique. The pigments are strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Gouache, encre de Chine, lavis d'encre de Chine, pastel et graphite sur papier vergé. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits le long de l’extrémité du bord supérieur. Les quatre bords sont non-ébarbés. Légère décoloration de la feuille par endroits vers les bords. La feuille ondule légèrement vers les bords, inhérent à la technique aqueuse de l’artiste. Les pigments sont vifs et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en très bonne condition générale.
