The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Gouache, brush and India ink, wash and India ink, grattage, pastel and pencil on thick wove paper. The reverse of the sheet is hinged to the mount in two places at the upper reverse edge. The sheet is slightly discoloured, mainly visible on the reverse. The remnants of an old mounting tape along the upper reverse sheet edge. A couple of pale fox-marks towards the upper reverse sheet edge only visible on the reverse. The pigments are very strong and fresh throughout. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Gouache, encre de Chine, lavis d'encre de Chine, grattage, pastel et graphite sur papier vélin épais. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu au montage à deux endroits le long de l’extrémité du bord supérieur. La feuille est légèrement décolorée, principalement visible au revers. Des résidus d’un ancien adhésif de montage le long du bord supérieur du revers de la feuille. Quelques légères piqûres vers le bordsupérieur du revers de la feuille, seulement visibles au revers de la feuille. Les pigments sont vifs et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en très bonne condition générale.
