HOLIDAY, Billie (1915-1959).

Part-typewritten document signed in blue ink by Billie Holiday, 26 December 1940, an agreement between Billie Holiday and Columbia Recording Corporation approving the dissolution of a prior agreement between the singer and the recording label in order to execute a new agreement dated 23 December 1940, three days before the date of this agreement.

In 1940 Columbia had revived the Okeh label for which Holiday, just a few months after signing this contract, would record one of her best-loved songs God Bless The Child. One page, 280 x 215 mm, Holiday’s signature at lower right, additionally signed by her manager Joe Glaser at lower left.
