First edition, presentation copy, inscribed by the author. Octavo. Frontispiece and 7 illustrations by Sydney Seymour Lucas (some spotting). Original red cloth, spine and upper cover lettered in gilt (hinges tender, slightly cocked, spine lightly sunned and covers faintly marked). Provenance: Michael Braybrooke (authorial presentation inscription to front free endpaper, dated Sept. 1911).

First edition. Octavo. (Light spotting.) Original black cloth, spine and upper cover lettered and bordered in red; original dust-jacket (a few tiny closed tears and creases, faintly dust-soiled, spine panel a little sunned).

First edition. Octavo. (Scattered spotting.) Original black cloth, spine lettered and ruled in gilt (slightly cocked); original dust-jacket (edges lightly frayed and creased, a few minor nicks). Provenance: A.I.A.DE KOK (bookseller’s ticket to front pastedown).

Provenance: B. H. Blackwell Ltd. (bookseller’s ticket to front pastedown) — Smythe Books (loosely inserted bookseller’s ticket).
