First edition, first printing in the dust-jacket. The third book in a series telling of the adventures of detective Nero Wolfe, The Rubber Band thrillingly uncovers the murder of Harlan Scovil. The story was originally serialized in six issues of The Saturday Evening Post (February 29-April 4, 1936). It was later adapted for television in 1969 and 2012.

Octavo. With the publisher’s monogram logo on the copyright page [indicating the first issue]. Original teal cloth, lettered in black on spine and front board, fore-edge untrimmed, top edge yellow (slight fading and wear to spine ends); original pictorial dust-jacket (some short closed tears, chips at spine ends, a few trivial nicks to extremities).
