Third printing, signed in blue ballpoint pen on the half-title by Louis Armstrong: ‘Satchmo, Louis Armstrong’, additionally signed by five members of his All Star band and members of The Saints Jazz Band – a Manchester based group who supported Armstrong at the Kings Hall, Belle Vue, Manchester, during his triumphant 1956 British tour, the autographs acquired by Nev Taylor, a drummer with the Dallas Jazz Band. Octavo. Original maroon cloth gilt, with the dust-jacket.

[With:] a souvenir club photofolder for the Blue Note, Chicago, with vintage gelatin silver photograph of Louis Armstrong, Cozy Cole and Earl “Fatha” Hines, c.1950, signed on the mount in green ink by Louis Armstrong and in pencil by Cole, Hines and Jack Teagarden. Single-fold cardfolder, 165 x 209 mm, printed in blue on white cardstock, with photograph in the windowmount, 129 x 179 mm.

[With:] a festival programme for the Festival International du Jazz in Nice, France, 22-28 February 1948, signed in green ink on the front cover by headliner Louis Armstrong, additionally signed by all members of his “Hot Five” – pianist Earl ‘Fatha’ Hines, bassist Arvell Shaw, trombonist Jack Teagarden, clarinettist Barney Bigard and drummer Big Sid Catlett – and other festival performers. Wire-stitched in original colour printed wraps with silk cord, original promotional wraparound paper band loosely inserted, 310 x 242 mm.

[And:] a concert programme for Louis Armstrong and His Orchestra at the Salle Pleyel, Paris, 2-3 March 1948, signed on the title page in blue ink ‘Louis Armstrong’, additionally signed by All Stars Earl Hines, Jack Teagarden, Velma Middleton and Barney Bigard. Wire-stitched in the original pictorial silvered wraps, 240 x 158 mm.
