A rare presentation copy, inscribed by the author in the month of publication to her secretary, amanuensis and close friend Charlotte 'Carlo' Fisher: 'Carlo from Agatha Nov. 1952'. This title was first published in book form in the U.S. around August 1952 with the title Murder with Mirrors and was then published in the UK with Christie’s preferred title They Do It With Mirrors. Octavo. (Minor spotting to endpapers.) Original red cloth, spine lettered in black (top edge of boards slightly dust-stained, spine sunned and slightly stained, edges faintly spotted); original dust-jacket supplied from another copy (small chips to spine ends and ends of folds, small stain to foot of upper panel fold, lower panel slightly toned and marked). Provenance: Charlotte 'Carlo' Fisher (1895-1976, secretary, amanuensis and close friend of Agatha Christie; presentation inscription by the author on front free endpaper, and with Fisher’s posthumous book label).
