A classic Jeeves and Wooster collection of short stories featuring a glittering cast of the most beloved supporting characters: first UK edition. The stories feature characters such as Tuppy Glossop, Bingo Little, Bobbie Wickham, Aunt Dahlia, Aunt Agatha and Sir Roderick Glossop. Released just two weeks after the American edition, the UK edition includes the preface not issued in its American counterpart. The short stories originally appeared in the Strand, Cosmopolitan and Liberty between April 1926 and April 1930. McIlvaine A42b.

Octavo. Four leaves of publisher’s ads at rear (spotting throughout concentrated to margins, most heavily affecting final few leaves). Original orange cloth, covers and spine stamped in black, the spine and lower cover with the publisher’s device in black (spine lightly sunned); original pictorial dust-jacket by Roberts (lightly soiled, several tears and chips along edges, largest closed tear measuring 40mm, chip to foot of upper panel affecting a few letters of review, long faint crease). Provenance: James H. Heineman (bibliographer of Wodehouse; bookplate to front pastedown) — Frits Menschaar (no evidence of provenance).
