The lot comprises a unique assortment of formats of Château Mouton Rothschild 2021: six bottles, three magnums, a double magnum whose label will be signed by the artist and the family that owns Château Mouton Rothschild, an imperial, and the only Nebuchadnezzar available to date:

THE OCCASION
On the occasion of the reveal of the label for Château Mouton Rothschild 2021, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, in partnership with Christie’s and with the participation of Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno, is holding an online auction of an exclusive lot. All the proceeds will go to the Association Antoine Alléno, founded by Yannick Alléno following the tragic death of his son Antoine, hit by the driver of a stolen car.

The association acts to help and support the families of young people who have suffered violence at the hands of a third party. The funds will go towards setting up and rolling out a comprehensive support programme for affected or grieving families. The programme will provide moral and practical support, including introductions to people in similar situations and experts who can guide and support them throughout their journey, not only through administrative, financial and legal procedures but also and above all at a human level.


THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK
The Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota has created the original artwork Universe of Mouton for the label of Château Mouton Rothschild 2021.

In her drawing, the fragile silhouette of a human figure faces gorgeous, generous nature. It is not the centre of attention but seems small compared to the environment. It is as though the figure is holding onto the balance between nature and humans. Its grip cannot be too tight or the thread will break, nor too loose or else the cloud will blow away and the connection will be broken.


THE EXPERIENCES
The winning bidder and three guests will also be invited to the Château Mouton Rothschild 2022 label reveal, followed by an exclusive dinner at the estate on 30 November 2024, attended by the family and the artist chosen to illustrate the label for that vintage.

Each year, this exclusive event hosts a handful of select guests from the worlds of wine and art, as well as friends of the family. When they come to Château Mouton Rothschild they will also be given a private tour of the château, the technical facilities, the Museum of Wine in Art and the Paintings for the Labels exhibition, which brings together all the original artworks by the great artists who have illustrated the Château Mouton Rothschild labels since 1945. The tour will conclude with a tasting of wines from the estate.

Yannick Alléno, who holds fifteen Michelin stars, will also offer the winning bidder and three guests an immersive experience at Le Pavillon Ledoyen, his celebrated three-star restaurant in Paris. They will go backstage at this temple of French cuisine, helping to prepare a service with the chef and his team. They will then dine with Yannick Alléno and a member of the family that owns Château Mouton Rothschild, with a menu specially designed to pair perfectly with the great vintages of the estate served during the meal.


This sale will close on Friday, 8 December, at 5:00PM CET, one week after the official revealing of the artwork for the 2021 label.

Dans le cadre du dévoilement de l’étiquette de Château Mouton Rothschild 2021, Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A. organise en collaboration avec Christie’s, et avec la participation exceptionnelle du chef étoilé Yannick Alléno, une vente aux enchères en ligne d’un lot exclusif au profit de l’Association Antoine Alléno. Créée par Yannick Alléno, suite à la disparition tragique de son fils Antoine percuté par un individu au volant d’un véhicule volé, cette association a pour but d’aider et de soutenir les familles de jeunes victimes d’actes de violences impliquant la responsabilité d’un tiers. Les fonds récoltés contribueront au développement et au déploiement d’un dispositif d’accompagnement complet destiné à ces familles touchées ou endeuillées. Il leurs offrira une écoute active et un soutien concret, notamment par une mise en relation avec des pairs et différents experts qui les guideront et les suivront tant sur les aspects administratifs et financiers que judiciaires mais aussi et surtout humains, en étant à leurs côtés tout au long de leurs parcours.

L'ŒUVRE INÉDITE

Dans sa création, l’homme est une fragile silhouette face à une nature rutilante, généreuse. Il n’est pas au centre de l’attention. Il apparaît petit par rapport à l’environnement. C’est comme si cette silhouette s’accrochait à cet équilibre entre la nature et les Hommes. Si elle les tient trop fort, les fils risqueraient de casser, mais si elle ne les tient pas assez fort, le nuage s’envolera et la connexion sera rompue.


L'EXPÉRIENCE
L’acquéreur et trois convives seront également invités à la soirée de révélation de l’étiquette de Château Mouton Rothschild 2022, suivie d’un dîner à la propriété, le 30 novembre 2024, en présence de la famille et de l'artiste qui aura illustré l’étiquette de ce millésime.

Cet événement exclusif est réservé chaque année à quelques invités privilégiés issus du monde du vin, de l'art, ainsi qu'aux amis de la famille. Ils bénéficieront, de plus, lors de leur venue à Château Mouton Rothschild, d’une visite privée du château, des installations techniques, du musée du Vin dans l’Art et de l’exposition l’Art et l’Etiquette. Elle réunit les œuvres originales réalisées depuis 1945 par les grands artistes ayant illustré les étiquettes des différents millésimes de Château Mouton Rothschild. Point d’orgue de cette visite : une dégustation des vins de la propriété.

L’heureux acheteur vivra également, avec trois invités de son choix, une expérience immersive avec le chef aux 15 étoiles au Guide Michelin Yannick Alléno dans son célèbre restaurant parisien triplement étoilé : Le Pavillon Ledoyen. Ils découvriront les coulisses de ce haut lieu de la gastronomie française en participant à la préparation d’un service avec le chef et son équipe. Ils pourront ensuite dîner en présence de Yannick Alléno et d’un membre de la famille propriétaire de Château Mouton Rothschild et déguster un menu spécialement conçu pour s’accorder à merveille avec de grands millésimes de vins de la propriété qui l’accompagneront.
