TWO TYPES OF INKSTICKS
(1) DRAGON MOTIF BOXED TRIBUTE INK – TEN INKSTICKS DEPICTING FAMOUS PEAKS OF HUANGSHAN
Each inkstick measures length 9.1 cm. (3 58 in.), width 1.7 cm. ( 58 in.), height 1 cm. ( 38 in.)
With a lacquered box decorated with dragon motifs.

(2) INKSTICKS WITH ROUND DRAGON MOTIF, SIGNED FANG YULU (MING DYNASTY)
1. Diameter 11 cm. (4 38 in.), height 2 cm. (34 in.)
2. Length 8 cm. (3 18 in.), width 2.2 cm. ( 78 in.), height 1 cm. ( 38 in.)

With a wooden box.

NOTE:
Fang Yulu, originally named Da’ao and styled Yulu, later changed his style name to Jianyuan. A native of Shexian, Anhui, he gained renown during the Wanli reign of the Ming dynasty for his exceptional ink-making craftsmanship. He authored the Fang’s Ink Manual (Fang Shi Mo Pu).
