Details
The zhadou has a wide everted rim and is carved on top with lotus scroll within a foliate border, and on the underside with shou medallions on a diaper ground, above the slightly rounded sides carved with further lotus scrolls. The domed cover is carved with stylized lotus scrolls below a band of petal-lappets. The interior and the base are covered in black lacquer.
