The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First:
-There are a few areas of restoration on the mouth rim.
-There is a star crack to the neck, one extending to the mid-body, with associated loss.
-There are a few areas of abrasion, with associated losses to the enamels.
-There are scattered pinprick holes.
-There are a few chips to the foot, the base might be later painted.
Second:
-One section of the neck has been broken off and restuck with associated restoration.
-There are nicks to the relief decoration.
-There is a U-shaped crack extending from the base to the body with associated touch-up.
-There are chips to the base.
-"76.574" has been inscribed on the base.
