The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First:
-There is a hairline extending from the mouth rim with an associated resored chip.
-There are a few chips to the foot.
-There are firing cracks; one to where the collar joins the neck, and one to where the body joins the foot.

Second:
-There are pinprick holes.
-The foot has been slightly buffed.
-There are two chips to the base with associated losses to the glaze.
-""25.1011"" has been inscribed on the base.
Third:
-There are a few firing cracks to the interior base.
-There are pinprick holes.
-There is residue of old wax to above the foot.
-""25.1010"" has been inscribed on the base.
Fourth:
-There is a minute nick to the mouth rim.
-There is an area of restoration on the mouth rim.
-There are pinprick holes to the body.
-There is abrasion to the tip of the elephants' noses.
-There is an area of restoration to one of the foot.
-""37.1132"" and ""RL445"" have been inscribed on the base.
Fifth:
-There are glaze lines.
-There is an area of glaze irregularity below the mouth.
-There is surface wear, particulary to the handles.
-There is a chip and a few nicks to the foot rim.
-There are a few pinprick holes.
-""936 k"" and ""24.315"" have been inscribed on the base.
