The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First:
-There is an area of restoration to the mouth rim and the area below.
-"26.295" "898-k" have been inscribed on the base.
Second:
-There are two vertical hairline cracks to the rim.
-There are two vertical hairlines extending from the mouth rim to the neck, one of which splits into two.
-There are surface scratches.
-There are several pinprick holes.
-"37.970" "mr88" have been inscribed on the base
Third:
-There are surface scratches.
-There are a few chips to the foot rim.
-"483.25" "1986.929" have been inscribed on the base.
Fourth:
-There are losses to the glaze around the mouth rim.
-There is an area of spraying and overpainting around the upper section of the neck, possibly concealing restoration.
-There is an indented potting flaw to the lower part of the body.
-"37.939" "mr91" have been inscribed on the base.
