The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First:
-There are a few minute raised kiln grit adhesion.
-There is a small potting flaw to one side of the lower section of the vase.
-There is residue of old glue to the foot rim.
-"693" and "25.1483" have been inscribed on the base.
Second:
-There is a small nick to the mouth rim.
-There are minute chips to the handles, particularly to the rings.
-There is wear to the feet.
-"324" and "25.951" have been inscribed on the base.
Third:
-There is a nick and a short hairline crack to the mouth rim.
-There is a knock to the central raised section.
-There are two chips and wear to the foot rim.
-"25.1481" has been inscribed on the base.
Fourth:
-There are areas of misfiring around the shoulder.
-There are chips to the foot rim.
-"64.553" has been inscribed on the base.
