The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
One elephant:
-There is one hairline crack extending from the mouth rim to the interior of the drip pan; two short horizontal hairline cracks to one side of the drip pan.
-There is an area of glaze imperfection to the exterior of the drip pan.
-The stick holder has been off and restuck.
-There are a few minor areas of touch-up.
The other elephant:
-There is a chip with an associated hairline crack to one side of the exterior of the drip pan.
-There is loss to the tip of the ornament on the nose.
-There are a few minor chips to the base.
-There are losses to the glaze on the base.
