The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
One corner of the ink palette has been restored with associated overpainting. There is overpainting to the rims. There is clear coating to the surface of the exterior and interior which is not apparent under UV light. There are two firing cracks extending from the base and two firing cracks to the underside of two corners. The base has been polished. There are a few glaze lines. The mouth and the base have been slightly polished.
