The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in condition of this piece after its initial manufacture.
All with minute nicks to the foot rims, rubbing to the grisaille and iron red decoration, scattered iron spots and pinprick burst glaze bubbles, and minute glaze flakes to the yellow enamel.
Vases: one with a large glaze chip and other small glaze chips to the decorative band near the foot.
Dishes: one has a 2 1/2 in. long hairline with associated large area of restoration on one side below the mouth rim. The other has a 3/4 in. long hairline extending from the mouth rim.
Bowl: the glaze has a somewhat matte texture but it does not fluoresce under UV light inspection. There are iron spots and surface abrasions to the interior.
