A BLUE AND WHITE DISH, A BLUE VASE, AND A BLUE-GLAZED SEATED FIGURE OF AN IMMORTAL
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The dish is decorated on the interior with a deer and bats amidst foliage within double-circles below a band of scrolling foliage, and the base is inscribed with an apocryphal Chenghua mark. The vase is covered overall with a deep blue glaze thinning to bone on the rim, and the Daoist Immortal is seated with one leg tucked under his body, holding a ruyi scepter.
Dish: 5 1/8 in. (13 cm.) diam.
Vase and Immortal: 3 ¾ and 2 5/8 in. (9.5 and 6.7 cm.) high

The Rende Zhai (House of Benevolent Learning) Collection, 1949-1970s, in the United States before 1990.
