The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- all with expected light surface wear, minute indentations, light scratches and light staining to the buttons and rubbing to the gilt
- the imitation coral glass button has cracks
- a few of the gilt mounts have encrustation
- the inlay on one of the mounts of the elongated hexagonal buttons is missing
