A COPPER-RED-DECORATED BLUE AND WHITE BOWL
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The bowl is decorated on the exterior with squirrels clambering amidst leafy, fruit-laden grapevines, with similar decoration on the interior and inscribed with a shop mark on the base. Together with a 19th century blue and white censer with animal-head handles and decorated with boys at play.
Bowl: 7 5/8 in. (19.4 cm.) diam.
Censer: 6 in. (15.2 cm.) across the handles

Provenance
The Rende Zhai (House of Benevolent Learning) Collection, 1949-1970s, in the United States before 1990.
