A COPPER-RED-DECORATED BOTTLE VASE
19TH CENTURY
The vase is decorated in copper-red with a pair of phoenixes amidst rocks, peonies, and pomegranates on one side, with a single bat in flight on the reverse, all against a soft sea-green ground.
12 7/8 in. (32.7 cm.) high

Provenance
The Rende Zhai (House of Benevolent Learning) Collection, 1949-1970s, in the United States before 1990.
