A DOUCAI 'BAT AND SHOU' DISH
JIAQING SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The exterior is decorated with medallions with the characters ji xiang ru yi ('may you have auspiciousness and your wishes fulfilled') interspersed with butterflies, flowers, and scrolling vine. The interior is centered with a shou character surrounded by five bats (wufu) beneath a foliate band.
6 1/8 in. (15.6 cm.) diam.

The Rende Zhai (House of Benevolent Learning) Collection, 1949-1970s, in the United States before 1990.
