A FAMILLE ROSE MOLDED PORCELAIN 'EROTIC' SNUFF BOTTLE
JIAQING-DAOGUANG PERIOD (1796-1850)
The bottle is molded in relief and painted in famille rose enamels with numerous couples in amorous poses in a continuous scene. Together with a copper-red decorated blue and white bottle, Daoguang mark and period, decorated with a pair of dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl amidst flames and clouds, and an enameled blue and white bottle, late Qing dynasty, painted in famille rose enamels with river landscape scenes and bearing an apocryphal Qianlong mark on base.
