The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of the piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Famille Verte Dish:
- hairline crack extending from the mouth rim to the center of the dish
- chips to mouth and foot rims
- firing cracks around the base
- kiln grit adhesion to the foot
Bowl:
- a repaired hairline extending from the mouth rim to the bottom of the bowl with associated loss
- two more short hairlines extending from the mouth rim
- minute nicks to the foot rim
- rubbing to the iron red, light surface scratches
Yellow-glazed Dish:
- restuck section
- two hairlines, one with associated rim chip
- additional rim chip
- surface abrasion to the interior
- nicks to the foot rim
