A PAIR OF AUBERGINE-GLAZED BOWLS
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each is finely potted with steep sides rising to the flared rim and is covered overall in a deep aubergine glaze. Together with an 'egg and spinach'-glazed bowl, Kangxi period (1662-1722), of ogee form, the lustrous green, yellow, aubergine and clear glazes stopping above the foot.
6 and 7 ¼ (15.3 and 18.6 cm.) diam.

The Rende Zhai (House of Benevolent Learning) Collection, 1949-1970s, in the United States before 1990.
