The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this pieces acquired after its initial manufacture.
Jar with scholars:
- the jar is missing its original cover
- two body cracks
- two chips on the mouth rim and several small nicks
- wear and scratching to the exterior decoration
Jar with lions:
- the jar is missing its original cover
- several rim chips
- a few small glaze gaps, which are inherent to manufacture
- wear and scratches to the exterior
Jar with qilin on swirl ground :
- the jar is missing its original cover
- y-shaped crack on the mouth rim, extending down the side of the jar
- extensive surface wear and abrasion to the exterior, particularly to the area with the y-shaped crack
- small firing crack on the center of the foot
