TWO FAMILLE VERTE JARS
17TH CENTURY
The larger jar is decorated on the exterior with a scholar and attendant in a garden setting. The smaller jar is decorated with two Buddhist lions chasing brocade balls. Together with a famille verte jar, 19th century, decorated with qilin interspersed with auspicious emblems.
5 5/8, 4 1/8, and 9 ¼ in. (14.4, 10.6, and 23.7 cm.) high

Provenance
The Rende Zhai (House of Benevolent Learning) Collection, 1949-1970s, in the United States before 1990.
