TWO TRIPOD CENSERS
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The blue and white tripod censer is decorated with flowering meander on the globular body and archaistic scrollwork on the mouth rim. The Cizhou-painted tripod censer is decorated with medallions centered with floral sprigs on the exterior, and has animal-mask-form legs. Together with a Longquan celadon bowl, Ming dynasty (1368-1644), carved with a reticulated lotus design on the exterior.
Censers: 3 1/8 and 4 1/8 in. (7.9 and 10.4 cm.) across the handles
Bowl: 4 ¾ in. (12.1 cm.) diam.

Provenance
The Rende Zhai (House of Benevolent Learning) Collection, 1949-1970s, in the United States before 1990.
