AN YIXING TREE TRUNK-FORM BRUSHPOT
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The brush pot is realistically modeled and carved as a gnarled section of a tree. There is a zhuanshu seal stamped on the base which reads, Ming Yuan.
4 1/3 in. (11.1 cm.) high

Provenance
The Rende Zhai (House of Benevolent Learning) Collection, 1949-1970s, in the United States before 1990.
