The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its manufacture.
- minor misfiring to the glaze around the mouth with a few frits to the rim
- there are two hariline cracks near the foot on one side; one encircles about half of the vase, the other bifurcates into multiple glaze cracks
- hairline, chips, a few short firing cracks and glaze lines to the foot
- a few glaze gaps to the base
- light surface scratches, which are consistent with age and use
